Most churches avoid this sensitive subject of depression, but stats tell us that it's the most common emotional health challenge in the United States. Among teens, more than 30% will experience some level of serious depression before they reach adulthood and nearly 10% suffer from depression for at least a year at a time. 30% of teenagers with depression also have a substance abuse problem and untreated depression is the #1 cause of suicide in our country...the third leading cause of death among teenagers.

Speaking from my own battle with depression, I candidly share on the different causes of depression, some amazing heroes of the Bible that dealt with it and practical steps to fight against the disease.
